Project SANKALP aims to create ragging-free, gender-sensitive and communally safe campuses across Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, empowering students with awareness, legal safeguards, and resilience against violence, trafficking and forced conversions.
Why SANKALP?
In recent times, a spate of crimes has been reported from college campuses in Bhopal involving drugging, rape, blackmail through obscene videos, and forced religious conversions of young women students. Possible involvement of organised rackets has been flagged by no less than the National Human Rights Commission, as most cases have involved men from one community targeting women students from another community.
